Play lists

I'm just going to say it, I really dislike play lists and here's the reason. I am a multi-tasker. I pride myself in being able to do many things, and do them well might I add, at the same time. I also LOVE music, I listen to it loud and sing it loud, too. That's said, when I turn my computer on I am doing a lot of things at the same time, for example, right now I have YouTube up, along with my e-mail, my blog and an IM conversation. What happens when I'm already listening to something on my computer and open a blog with a play list, is an overlapping of sound, which bugs the crap out of me. If I'm not listening to something already and open up a blog, I'm blasted with music from the blog because my volume is cranked up from the last time I was listening to something. The kicker is this, most play lists are NOT at the top of the page and I end up scrolling like mad to find them to pause them or scrambling for the volume control.

Now I realize that this is a personal problem. Many people that I love dearly have playlists and I'm not requesting that they delete them, in fact, I've found a lot of new favorite songs or old favorites by playlists, but there has to be a way to let the viewer start them, right?

THANK YOU!!! I feel the same way! It's a little bothersome to pause all the playlists while you're blog-surfing!

hahaha. You couldn't possibly be talking about me!!! I actually agree - even though I am part of the problem. But because of you I haven't repented and changed my ways. :) My playlist now has to be clicked on to start.... all for you katie.

I think a play list tells a lot about someone. For Example if someone has Micheal Bouble or Josh Grobin on thier playlist, they are probably old fashioned and a bit boring(though I do love both those artist's)On the other hand if they have Keith Urban or Rascal flatt's they are probably pretty cool. and so on and so forth. You get the idea. So I say listen to the play list forget about the pitures and other junk and you will learn a lot about the person.

Well.... I happen to love Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Keith Urban & Rascal Flatts! Although I have to admit that CMT music and the top 20 countdown are among my favorite shows! I love Jason Aldean, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood (although I hate her latest hit)Alan Jackson and the list goes on.... I have never stopped to evaluate why I like them.... I just do... I am probably boring and old fashioned, though I don't mind being labeled as such:) hmmm...Maybe that's why I don't have a playlist:)

Well, I agree with Kathy.....except I would have to say that Josh Grobin and Michael Buble' would go under more of a classical style, and there is nothing old fashioned or boring about that. I like to think that musically I am quite well rounded, I like a little bit of everything.
